Chicken, Coriander, and Sweet Chilli Patties Recipe





Here’s a simple recipe for Chicken, Coriander, and Sweet Chilli Patties that’s delicious, quick to prepare, and perfect for a meal or snack!

Ingredients:

  • 500g ground chicken (minced chicken)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small red chilli (optional), finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 1 handful fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for binding)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ground cumin (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the mixture:In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, chopped onion, red chilli, sweet chilli sauce, fresh coriander, egg, soy sauce, ground cumin, breadcrumbs (if using), salt, and pepper.Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the patties:Divide the mixture into 8–10 equal portions and shape them into small patties. Place them on a tray or plate and chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
  3. Cook the patties:Heat a non-stick frying pan or skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil.Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 75°C/165°F).
  4. Serve:Serve the patties warm with a side of sweet chilli sauce for dipping. They go well with a fresh salad, rice, or even in a burger bun!
